SANTA FE, NM – A solo-car crash on Cerrillos Road and Paseo de Peralta in Santa Fe killed a man Sunday.
Santa Fe New Mexican said a Toyota MR2 went airborne before crashing into a pole. Shortly after, the driver was thrown from his car. Police believe speeding could have been a significant factor in Sunday’s crash.
Santa Fe Police identified the driver as 53-year-old Charles Gonzales. He was transported to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, where he died.
It is unclear if Gonzales was under the influence of alcohol.
