ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian that took place on Monday night.
The incident occurred Monday around 11:20 p.m. at Pennsylvania St. and Mountain Rd., near I-40.
A woman pushing a shopping cart was hit by a northbound silver Volkswagen sedan that fled the scene.
The pedestrian, pronounced dead at the scene, is believed to have contributed to the accident due to pedestrian error and speed.
