GUADALUPE CO., NM – A major accident involving multiple vehicles in northeast Guadalupe County killed at least one person and injured others.
The incident occurred sometime before 11 a.m. on the westbound side I-40 near Exit 291, which is between Cuervo and Santa Rosa.
Authorities haven’t shared any details about how the crash happened, nor have they released the identity of the confirmed victim.
Officials closed the westbound lanes of I-40 while crews worked to clear the scene.
