Narrative
SANTA FE, NM – A wrong-way collision along the highway in the Tesuque area killed two and injured three other on Thursday night.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. on the northbound side of US-84 near mile marker 172, which is just north of Santa Fe and west of The Desert Labyrinth.
Police say that a southbound Jeep entered the northbound lane of traffic and collided with a northbound pickup truck.
The driver and a passenger from the pickup died at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified these victims.
The driver of the Jeep and two other passengers from the pickup truck went to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The 51-year-old wrong-way driver, identified as Scott Sullivan, faces multiple charges in relation to the crash.
