ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A motorcyclist and a pedestrian died after a collision at a busy Albuquerque intersection on Tuesday.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Coors Boulevard Northwest and Irving Boulevard Northwest, which is at the northeast corner of the Paradise Hills Shopping Center.
The investigation indicates that a northbound motorcycle struck and killed a pedestrian in the intersection.
The motorcyclist, who was racing with another another motorcycle at the time of the crash, hit a tree and a gas station sign after striking the pedestrian. The biker died after transport to a local hospital.
The second motorcycle fled the scene of the accident.
Authorities have not yet identified the victims in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
