Narrative:
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person died late Tuesday night when a vehicle struck them near a busy intersection in Albuquerque.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. in the area of Carlisle Boulevard Northeast and Indian School Road Northeast, which is just south of I-40 and east of Montezuma Elementary School.
Police haven’t yet specified whether the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of they accident. They say the pedestrian died at the scene and that the driver of the vehicle stayed to render aid and answer questions.
Authorities have not yet identified the pedestrian publicly.
A full investigation is underway.
