Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – An Albuquerque driver struck and killed a pedestrian on Thursday night at a busy intersection on the northeast side of the city.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Tramway Boulevard Northeast, or NM 556, and Manitoba Drive Northeast. This is just south of Bear Canyon.
The investigation indicates that the victim was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection when a northbound vehicle struck them. Police say the northbound lanes had a green light at the time of the crash.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
Have have largely ruled out intoxication as a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
