Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A female bicyclist is in critical condition after a vehicle struck her near a busy intersection in Albuquerque on Tuesday.
The time of the crash is unclear, but police say it occurred near the intersection of San Pedro Drive Northeast and La Corrida Road Northeast, which is just south of Washington Park and the popular Passeo del Nordeste Trail in northeast Albuquerque.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, and authorities have not released the identity of the cyclist.
Response crews noted extensive front-end damage to the sedan involved in the collision. They say that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
