Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A man died on Sunday night at a busy intersection in east Albuquerque after a vehicle struck him before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred sometime around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and Utah Street, which is just southwest of Los Altos Golf Course in the International District of the City.
Police have not shared any details regarding the accident except to say that the vehicle was observed travelling west of Central when it hit the pedestrian, who died at the scene.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim to the public.
