Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A wrong-way collision along a major roadway killed one person two weeks ago in northwest Albuquerque.
The incident occurred overnight Sunday, January 21st, on Paseo Del Norte Boulevard Northeast near I-25, which is in the Pleasant View area.
Police say that a wrong-way driver collided with a westbound vehicle along Paseo Del Norte, killing a passenger in the latter vehicle. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
No other injuries have been noted in connection to the accident.
Officials say that the wrong-way driver, identified as Adamaris Martinez, faces charges for driving under the influence and causing an accident that resulted in death.
The investigation is ongoing.
