Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person died last Saturday afternoon in Albuquerque after a stolen vehicle hit another vehicle at a busy intersection.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Bell Avenue Southeast and Cardenas Drive Southeast, which is west of Jack and Jill Park and south of El Mezquite Market.
Police say that the driver of a solen car ignored a stop sign and struck another vehicle in the intersection. The passenger in the second vehicle died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet released their name.
No other injuries have been referenced in relation to the accident, and police have not yet taken custody of any suspects.
The investigation is ongoing.
