Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A male pedestrian died on Tuesday night in Albuquerque after a hit-and-run driver struck him in the International District.
The collision occurred just after 9 p.m. in the area of Rhode Island Street NE and Central Avenue SE, which is north of Zuni Road and west of Wyoming Boulevard.
Authorities say that the hit-and-run driver fled west on Central Avenue following the crash. They do not have a description of the vehicle at this time but encourage anyone who may have seen the accident to contact Albuquerque police.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the pedestrian to the public.
