Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – An Albuquerque man was taken into custody Saturday for allegedly hitting another man with his vehicle in the parking lot of a local dog park.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the Santa Fe Village Dog Park, which is located at 5700 Bogart Street Northwest. This is near Taylor Ranch Public Library in the northwest part of the city.
The investigation thus far indicates that Christopher Facey died at a local hospital from injuries sustained when Guadalupe Maldonado struck him with his vehicle.
Police say Facey was meeting Maldonado’s wife at the dog park when Maldonado confronted him and hit him with his car.
Maldonado faces charges of homicide by vehicle and second degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing.
