Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A pedestrian died on Tuesday when a motorcycle struck them at a busy intersection in northeast Albuquerque.
The incident happened just after midnight in the area of San Antonio Drive and Louisiana Boulevard, which is between I-25 to the west and Wyoming Boulevard NE to the east.
Police say that the pedestrian ran in front of the motorcyclist on the eastbound side of San Antonio Drive. The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
Medics transported the motorcycle operator and a passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say the motorcyclist had the right-of-way at the time of the collision.
