Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person died Monday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash with ejection in the South Los Altos area of Albuquerque.
The incident happened around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of Central Avenue and Eubank Boulevard, which is just south of the Coronado Freeway and Los Altos Golf Course.
Police say that the driver of a westbound Toyota FJ lost control of the vehicle, hit the median, and crossed into the eastbound side of Central Avenue. The Toyota then collided with two eastbound vehicles — a Nissan and a Jeep. The force of this collision caused the Toyota to roll and threw the driver from the vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota died during medical transport. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
One person from the Jeep sustained injuries in the crash and was hospitalized.
A full investigation is underway.
