Narrative
TIJERAS, NM – Two people went to the hospital Friday after a rollover accident involving a propane truck in southeastern Bernalillo County.
The incident happened sometime in the evening near Tijeras at NM-217 and Gonzales Road.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police say the propane truck began to leak fuel after overturning.
Medics transported the two occupants of the vehicle to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officials closed NM-217 in the area of the crash for many hours while crews worked to clear the wreck and clean-up the spilled fuel.
The investigation is ongoing.
