Narrative
ROSWELL, NM – One person died, and another went to the hospital on Monday afternoon when a police chase ended in a collision near Roswell Air Center.
Around 4 p.m., Roswell police were attempting to stop a vehicle when it crashed into an 18-wheeler at the intersection of South Sunset Avenue and Relief Route in south Roswell.
The driver of the vehicle died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, nor have they clarified the reason for the police pursuit.
The truck driver was hospitalized with non-critical injuries.
