Narrative
DEMING, NM – An infant passenger died, and an adult driver sustained non-critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a police cruiser in Deming.
The incident happened around 11:51 a.m. at NM-11 at Voorhies Road, which is on the southern outskirts of the city.
Police say they were headed southbound on a call when a Nissan Ultima turned in front of their cruiser, and the two cars collided.
An infant passenger from the Nissan died after transport to the hospital.
The driver of the Nissan sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The two police officers were not seriously injured.
