Man, 60, dies after his motorcycle hits deer in Quay County

QUAY COUNTY, NM – A motorcycle collision claimed the life of a 60-year-old man Monday in Quay County. 

KRQE said the crash happened on State Road 104 around 9 pm. The motorcyclist declined to wear a helmet and ended up hitting a deer. As a result, the man was hospitalized and later pronounced dead. 

The man was identified as Robert S. Evans. 

Alcohol was not a factor in Monday’s crash.
