ROOSEVELT COUNTY, NM – A single rollover crash in Roosevelt County left a man dead Tuesday morning, News Channel 10 reported.
The collision occurred around 1 am at South Roosevelt Road 2 and South Roosevelt Road W. A man was driving on South Roosevelt Road 2 when he suddenly drove through a ditch and slammed into a utility pole.
The car flipped, and the man was ejected. Law enforcement said the man was not wearing a seatbelt. They believe speeding was a contributing factor to the crash.
Police identified the man as Jose Manuel Gutierrez, 31. Gutierrez was killed at the scene.
